LumenDev
Software house founded with college friends — ongoing business area focused on earning income through software work.
Business scale (UMKM)
LumenDev is a small business (UMKM), not an agency or enterprise vendor.
| Field | Value |
|---|
| Classification | UMKM (micro/small enterprise) |
| Approx. annual revenue | ~Rp 50 juta/tahun (order of magnitude; per MG, May 2026) |
| Implication | Thin margin and limited buffer — avoid open-ended support, hidden infra subsidy, and SLA tiers that assume dedicated ops/on-call unless the client contract fully funds them |
Use this when scoping [[Areas/LumenDev/playbooks/lumencare-tier-matrix|LumenCare]] tiers, pass-through infra, and how much operational risk to absorb on any single client.
Origin & scope
Built while in college as a peer dev team taking on paid work across the spectrum of small-to-medium software delivery:
- Landing pages and marketing sites
- Web applications
- Academic support / thesis facilitation (“thesis jockey”)

Reusable service strategy (LumenCare)
- LumenDev standard is now: separate one-time build fee from recurring maintenance, with explicit SLA tier and pass-through infra billing.
- Why this shift: improve service reliability, increase margin quality, and avoid hidden operational/legal risk from free infra and undefined guarantees.
- Reusable playbooks live under
Areas/LumenDev/playbooks/ and are the default baseline for future client proposals/contracts.
